Quizzter policy

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Quizzter collects, stores, and uses information when you use the app and its related public pages. It is intended to clearly explain what information is used to run the service and support app features.

1. Information Quizzter stores

Information stored locally on your device

If you use Quizzter without creating an account, the app can store settings and profile information locally on your device. This may include sound and haptic preferences, answer timing preferences, streak information, your display name, the local path to a profile image you choose, and guest custom quiz content.

Information stored when you create or use an account

If you create an account or sign in, Quizzter uses Firebase Authentication and may store your email address, authentication provider identity, Firebase user ID, and related account records needed to keep your account active.

Public username and market activity

Signed-in users can claim a public username. If you publish a quiz to the community market, Quizzter stores and displays the quiz title, prompt, deck metadata, your public username, your user ID, publication date, and rating information associated with that quiz.

Private cloud content

When cloud features are enabled for a signed-in user, Quizzter may store your private custom quizzes and session history in Cloud Firestore. Published quiz payloads are also stored in Firebase Storage so other users can import them.

Third-party network requests tied to app features

Some app features use third-party services directly. The countries map uses Google Maps, flag images are loaded from FlagCDN, and ads on supported mobile platforms are served through Google AdMob. Those providers may receive technical request information such as IP address, device details, and request metadata when their services are used.

2. How Quizzter uses information

Quizzter uses information to provide quiz gameplay, remember your preferences, maintain streaks and session history, save private custom decks, support sign-in, assign public usernames, publish and import community quizzes, display ratings, and support reminder and ad-supported features.

3. Notifications and reminders

Quizzter can schedule daily reminder notifications on your device. These are local notifications rather than a remote push service. The schedule is based on your device time zone and local streak information.

4. Ads

On Android and iOS, Quizzter can display banner ads and rewarded ads using Google AdMob. Ad delivery and measurement may involve Google or its partners processing device and advertising data under their own policies.

5. Sharing and service providers

Quizzter relies on third-party infrastructure providers to operate the app. These include Firebase services for authentication and data storage, Google Maps for map content, FlagCDN for remote flag images, and Google AdMob for advertising on supported mobile platforms.

6. Data retention

Local data remains on your device until you remove it, clear the app, or uninstall the app. Cloud data linked to your account may remain until you delete it through the app or until it is removed from backend systems. Published community content remains available until it is unpublished or deleted.

7. Your choices

You can stay in local-only mode and avoid cloud sync features.

2

You can deny or revoke notification permissions at any time.

8. Children’s privacy

9. Contact
